ACMA Restricted Registration Cabling Course

This is the minimum registration required to install Telephone cabling In a domestic installation or small shop where the network boundary is either the first TO or a Network Termination Device (NTD).

A Restricted registration is also the minimum registration required to install sensor cabling for a Fire alarm, Security Alarm or Nurse Call unit.

A cabler holding a restricted registration may not

1. Install cabling on a pole shared with LV
2. Install cabling in a building, which has a reticulated HV cabling System
3. Install cabling in a HV substation or Control Rom.
4. Install a smart wired cabling system in a home that utilizes a Jumperable system. Eg Patch panel or Jumperable frame.

Restricted Registration Courses are normally run as Part 1 of a full Open Registration Course.

• Full Time 1.5 Days
• Part Time 3 Evenings

Course Content:

• Regulatory Environment (Residential)
• Basic Telephony
• Mode 3 connections for Security Systems
• Introduction to ADSL

Practical:

• Termination of 600 series and KRONE media Outlets.

Examination:

Cost:

• $360 - GST Not applicable

In Western Australia an 80% rebate may be claimed from the CONSTRUCTION TRAINING FUND for successful completion of the course, by students working in the construction Industry.

It must be noted that this rebate scheme is an arrangement between the student and the CONSTRUCTION TRAINING FUND. Integracom Management Group and its associated companies does not form part of that arrangement.
